Head of digital media at CBC News leaves for US

Jonathan DubeCBC News is losing its director of digital media, Jonathan Dube.

The online news veteran is rejoining ABCNews.com as VP, responsible for strategic planning, business strategy, editorial content and production.

Dube joined CBC in 2005 as editorial director, responsible for overseeing editorial content and staff for CBC.ca.

Last year he took on the role of leading the development of CBC News across all digital media platforms.

Dube was with ABCNews.com in 1999 as a national producer. He has also worked at MSNBC.com and is the current president of the Online News Association.

UPDATE: Lost Remote has the news release on Jon’s appointment. It quotes ABC News president David Westin saying; ““We are thrilled to have Jonathan back at ABC News where he began his career in digital media.”
